	Founded in 1972, The National Arbor Day Foundation inspires people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees. We envision a world where trees and forests are abundant, healthy, and sustainable, and highly valued by all people. Through mass-media communications, by providing low-cost trees for planting, and by producing high-quality, easy-to-use educational materials, we work to make tree planting and care something in which nearly everyone can be involved. We also create mechanisms through which the average individual can directly support positive tree conservation and education projects. It is our constant goal to expand a person's desire to plant a tree into a lifelong enthusiasm for tree planting and care, and for positive involvement in conservation issues relating to trees.
	Founded in 1866, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane organization established in the Western Hemisphere and today has one million supporters. The ASPCA's mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. The ASPCA provides national leadership in anti-cruelty, animal behavior, humane education, government affairs and public policy, shelter support, and animal poison control. The NYC headquarters houses a full-service animal hospital and adoption facility. The Humane Law Enforcement department enforces New York's animal cruelty laws and is featured on the reality television series Animal Precinct on Animal Planet.
	Founded in 1990, Bioneers promotes practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring the Earth and communities. We offer pragmatic solutions that honor the living web of the natural world as the most fertile source of inspiration and models. Bioneers span all fields, cultures, ages and walks of life. The work ranges from science to spirit, local to global, academia to the grass roots, farm to city, business to public service, art to engineering. We celebrate the gift of life in all its diversity and mystery, conjuring a change of heart to renew our empathic connection with the web of life and the Earth, our home.
	Children for Children (CFC) was founded in 1996 by parents to foster community involvement and social responsibility in young people. We offer opportunities for young people from preschool through high school to "grow involved" through hands-on service and philanthropy programs that teach the value of volunteering and giving. Many CFC programs engage young people in the effort to provide resources to schools struggling to offer quality education to New York City's underserved communities, since even the very young understand what it must be like to try to learn without enough books, microscopes and music and gym equipment.
	Founded in 1970, Oxfam America, an affiliate of Oxfam International, works to end global poverty through saving lives, strengthening communities, and campaigning for change. Oxfam America works on the scene, helping people gain the hope, skills, and direction to create a new future. We are also active in the global arena, addressing social injustice through our advocacy, public education, and emergency assistance programs. While Oxfam employs a variety of strategies to achieve our mission, the goal in all our endeavors is the same: to enable poor people to exercise their right to manage their own lives. The specific issues we work on include making a living, natural resources, peace and security, equality for women, indigenous and minority rights, and global trade.
